With this project I am actively exploring ways to enhance digital fashion by creating a phygital (combination of physical and digital) collection.
I created an interactive collection that combines physical design with digital/technological design, to create a unique and immersive experience. My collection pushes the boundaries of traditional design and showcases the potential of technology and fashion working together.
Phygital Data Dress
We designed a “phygital” dress with LED lights and a soft switch that detects the interactor's fingerprint. The physical form of the dress is augmented with a digital data flow animation, which is activated when the interactor scans their fingerprint.
The choices we make and the relationships we form throughout our lives shape who we are now. What if, though, one of those choices was different? Would your life as you know it be completely different? This idea served as my guiding concept as I began to create “the butterfly effect”. I looked for movement in patterns throughout the entire process. Patterns that are both the products of reactions and patterns that react. Take a look into my research, process and findings from my project “React”. A collection of materials created by reacting patterns. A combination of digital data research and materialization.
The New Generation
This collection is a reflection on the new generation. What is the new generation how do we work and what interest us. Check out this reflection of gen-z
